  • Property information — the address or account number you search for, plus any corrections or condition details you provide about your property.
  • Uploaded files — photos, documents, or other files you upload as supporting evidence for your protest.
  • Waitlist signup — your email address if you sign up for notifications about new features or data availability.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — basic information about how you interact with the website, such as pages visited and features used.
  • Device information — browser type, operating system, and screen size.

Information we do not collect

  • We do not collect or store credit card numbers, bank account information, or other financial account details. All payment processing is handled by Stripe.
  • We do not collect Social Security numbers or government-issued ID numbers.
  • We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Delivering your evidence package — generating your report and emailing it to you.
  • Providing customer support — responding to questions about your order or report.
  • Improving our service — understanding how people use the product so we can make it better.
  • Sending order-related communications — order confirmations, delivery notifications, and important updates.
  • Waitlist notifications — if you signed up, notifying you when new data or features are available.

We will not send you marketing emails unless you've explicitly opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

3. Property Data

The property data displayed on our website comes from county appraisal district public records. Currently, we source data from the Harris County Appraisal District (HCAD). We do not collect this data from you — we retrieve it from public records based on the address or account number you search for.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Payment processing — your email and purchase details are shared with Stripe to process your payment.
  • Email delivery — your email address is used by our email service provider to deliver your report.
  • Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.

5. Data Retention

We retain your order information and uploaded files for up to one year after your purchase to support customer service and allow you to re-download your report. After that period, uploaded files are deleted. Basic order records may be retained longer for business record-keeping.

Waitlist email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypting data in transit (HTTPS) and limiting access to stored data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access and deletion — you can request a copy of the information we have about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@fightyourtax.ai.
  • Unsubscribe — every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
  • Corrections — if any information we have about you is inaccurate, let us know and we'll correct it.

Our service is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
